About
Often when we consider innovation, it is tempting to start with the latest technology and see where we can apply it. However, that approach can lead to endless pilot projects that never get integrated into the fabric of mobility because we encounter many solutions in search of a problem. Instead, what can happen when we begin with the challenge, investigate it deeply, listen attentively to those experiencing it, and construct our response using technology as a tool that follows rather than a tool that leads? This presentation will cover two case studies from Los Angeles. One focused on better digital stewardship of the public right of way and another focused on addressing the transportation needs of women and families.
