CIVIT, the Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies at Tampere University, provides facilities, equipment and expertise in the emerging field of immersive visual technologies for academic and company use. CIVIT's capabilities meet the challenge of creating digital representations of urban spaces as well as incorporating photorealistic 3D models of citizens into immersive environments. These technologies can support improved decision-making at the city level. On an individual level, well-being can be enhanced through practical applications, as demonstrated in our use case on digitizing football skill exercises, which promotes physical activity and skill development for children.

Tampere University coordinate Tomorrow's Sports and Health Campus project which connects companies, users, and RDI actors, fostering new ideas, innovations, and digital solutions for performance and health promotion. Serving as an innovative urban development platform in the project is the legendary Hakametsä Ice Arena, which in the coming years will gain a new life as Hakametsä Sport Campus - a unique, open-to-all hub for sports, wellbeing, and living in a central location in Tampere. This cutting-edge environment supports product and service development, bringing together public and private sector collaboration to drive forward-thinking initiatives and sustainable growth.
