About
In the Horizon Europe INNATURE project, nature-based solutions (NBS) are co-designed with residents to increase biodiversity and decrease pollinator decline in urban neighbourhoods. The city of Tampere is involved in the project through a demo case where Pollinator Meadows will be co-created with their residents and implemented in two neighbourhoods (Nekala and Härmälänranta) with the aim of increasing biodiversity and access to urban nature while aiding local priority species. The demo cases in the INNATURE project are implemented in five different EU countries (Tampere in Finland, Antwerp in Belgium, Brezoi in Romania, Copenhagen in Denmark, Sheffield in the UK), with the overall aim to demonstrate how local NBS can be co-designed and delivered to be NEB-by-design.
